Summer Painting

Morning Cafe

I'm enjoying summer. It just started to warm up seriously here in Oregon, flowers and garden are going full-tilt. It's one of my favorite times of the year with my studio door flung open for cat, dog, and children visitors, while I design, sew, cut fabric or perchance to paint. I'm relearning painting this season. Even dreaming in paintings!

I'll share the last few I've done for my first online art class, Get Your Paint On. It's so fun, inspiring, and a great way to learn no matter where you live (well, given that you have internet or access to it). I recommend the class.

Thanks for visiting my blog class friend! I sell on etsy and have 4 galleries and one store. I also LOVE doing outdoor shows. Here in Atlanta we have an amazing amount of juried shows. My work is sweet and simple, so southerners tend to like it! I love e angel btw....it's got the right amount of contrast in it.

Off to find those stitched journals. Got to have one!

I really like your work and the colour palette. So glad you are enjoying the painting class. I'm so far behind with my online classes....

Uh oh, Jasper, does that mean you are taking too many classes? :-) Better start doling them out to yourself. I'm suffering from the one class alone. "Suffering" because I want to paint alllll the time! And dreaming of painting. However, painting, while fun, is also emotional and difficult in ways that are hard to explain. I'm choosing challenging ideas (for me) and trying different styles (because I can) so it's not simple. But it's a joyful struggle. Does that make sense?
